Why we advertise on our pages

The production and maintenance of our website is a major effort. There are immeasurable hours that go into preparing the images, doing the layout, writing the text, etc., however if this was all that was involved, the website would cost next to nothing. While our time is valuable, we enjoy being able to share our experiences with friends and those that are unable to see it in person. Our costs come from the web hosting, having to pay for daily connections, when we find them, to upload the photos and videos, the need to upgrade our photo and computer equipment to deliver better website content, and even the gasoline running our generator to provide enough power to work until the wee hours of the morning getting everything just right. These costs add up and by the inclusion of Google and other paid ads, we can offset our costs in order to deliver you the experiences we have every day.

We are considering adding the ability for our visitors to send us a donation via Paypal in the future. These donations would go to purchasing better equipment including a Canon EOS 5D digital camera, capable of producing ultra-high resolution 22 megapixel images as well as a high quality full sized Canon video camera to capture and deliver stunning videography.

In closing we would like to thank the countless people that send us emails telling us how much they enjoy seeing the pictures and experiencing Alaska as if they were here with us. As we bear the costs of creating and delivering this website, it is your comments and thanks that make it worthwhile.
