The
Mad Dogs camera equipment
The full size Canon digital SLR camera
bodies
We use the digital Canon 20D & Canon 7D SLR camera bodies
for most of our wildlife and scenery photos. With these digital
Canon cameras we use several different Canon lenses and shoot mainly in "Raw"
mode! (so should you)

When diving, we use our Ikelite watertight case
We have chosen the
Ikelite underwater camera
housing for our Canon EOS 20D digital camera and are very happy
with the Ikelite housing. We would also like to find a underwater housing
for our smaller digital camera but we will be trading in our smaller Canon SX200
camera for a better unit and will look for a compatible housing at
that time. View some

The small and portable
digital cameras we use
Most of the time we carry our small
and easy to stow
Canon PowerShot SX200 IS
digital camera for photos or small movie clips when we don't
have our larger cameras with us. The Canon SX 200 replaces our great
Canon PowerShot SD700 IS Digital camera
because we dropped it in the water and therefore is no longer
"active"

Our current video equipment
We use several video capable cameras to make our videos. The oldest
video camera is the Sony
TRV-203 video camera (soon to be replaced because it uses the good old
fashioned tape system). The second and smaller video camera is the
The
Canon Elura 40 MC digital movie camera (also a tape system). We are also able to make
very high quality movies with our Canon 7D SLR camera and the Canon SX 200 but we need to
experiment with these cameras because of quality issues or operator
issues. We will keep
you informed of the testing.
